| Revolving restaurant at the top of the bridge tower. The border with Austria joins the Danube just upstream from here. One of our guides told us that in the old Cold War days the border fence and security features to stop defectors to the west were in the woods behind the illuminated building. On Google Earth you can still see the roads where the border guards on the eastern side patrolled the border zone .... |
