This afternoon we were taken
on a coach trip into the countryside for a coffee and cake
experience with a local Slovak family. We were in a group of 12
and were welcomed by Peter and his mother who had a vineyard.
Before having coffee and cake we were treated to some wine tasting of red,
white and rosé wine - a very pleasant way to spend what was by now a hot and sunny
afternoon. We were made most welcome even though Peter and his mother didn't really speak English.
On the way back we were told about the car firm Škoda which, whilst named after the founder, means 'what a pity'!
